WEConnectKids is a partnership between core service providers for child and youth mental health and addiction services in Windsor/Essex. It is the place to start with if you are looking to refer a young person or family. It’s a free, confidential mental health service for children, youth, and families who live in Windsor-Essex.

Eligibility

WEConnectKids is for anyone under 18 looking for mental health and addiction services in Windsor-Essex, or for anyone looking to support someone under 18 and their family in accessing local services or programs. Our knowledgeable staff can navigate the options and directly connect children, youth and their families to appropriate help.

WEC Connect is a searchable inventory of substance use and mental health services available to residents of the Windsor-Essex County (WEC). The inventory includes a comprehensive list of both publicly and privately funded programs and services available at the regional, provincial, and national levels. This tool is intended to support residents of WEC in navigating health and social service systems to access programs that best meet their unique needs.

Counselling Clinic

Free counselling is available through the RCC (Regional Children’s Centre) Counselling Clinic. They can provide you with quick, confidential access to mental health services (up to age 18) for youth and their families/guardians. No referral is necessary, simply call 519-257-5437 (KIDS) to access this service.

Reaching out for help can make all the difference. We are ready to listen to what you’re going through and connect you with the help you need. No concern is too big or too small. Our aim is to help you take the next step in the direction you want to go.

How We Work With You

Call us to get started: Our service is completely free and confidential. Our friendly, experienced staff are available Monday –Thursday, 8 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. 519-257-5437 (KIDS).

Tell us what’s going on: We’ll listen to your situation and ask some questions to help understand what you’re going through. We can then determine the options available that can best meet your needs. If this is an urgent crisis or emergency, please go to your nearest hospital or call 911. During your call with us, if we think you need more immediate crisis support, we will help direct you.

Provide options: Together, we will review all the available resources, services and support programs that can help you.
